Day 1 - Eph. 2:10

"For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." - Ephesians 2:10

I am God’s masterpiece.

It’s hard to imagine that sometimes, especially since I don’t act that way. I act broken and ripped apart, smeared. But maybe God’s masterpiece isn’t a perfect painting, with exact lines and rigid angles. No, I am smeared and pushed and pulled, He’s painted me on a rough canvas like stone. He throws the paint across it, colors splashing everywhere, then He takes His hands and pushes the paint into each other, smearing me together, His hands are messy, He is right there with me - and that is His masterpiece.

What people would call a mess, he calls beautiful. I am beautiful. And He rejoices over me.

Dear Neema, this is just as true for all of you as it is for us. May we believe these words with our whole hearts today. He rejoices over us.

Amen.
