Rosemary’s Story

Rosemary’s opportunity at Neema is transforming her whole family and community. One of 14 children, she grew up in a home without electricity or water. Extreme poverty pushed her out of school and into casual labor, yet her family still lacked basic needs.

When Rosemary joined Neema, hope restored her and transformed her entire household. She says: “Neema has really changed my life…Coming to Neema was the best thing that ever happened to me.”

Her parents now attend Neema’s permaculture workshops, learning to make chemical-free fertilizer and pesticide from free ingredients and grow short-season vegetables in sacks, boosting their nutrition and food security. They have also joined counseling and discipleship sessions on forgiveness have brought healing, peace, and restored relationships.
