30 DAYS OF PRAYER - DAY 14

"How great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty."
Zechariah 9:17, KJV

How much are our eyes able to see of our Lord Jesus?

When we watch people look through a microscope, some glance for a moment, then shrug and move away. They have seen nothing. Others look for two or three seconds and say, "How amazing," or "How beautiful." They too move away, having seen more - but not much more.

It is only as we look and look and look that we really see. And the more we know of the object we are looking at, the more we see in it.

Paul speaks of "... the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things" (Philippians  3:8). He was willing to lose all things and to keep looking and looking and looking into Christ so that he might know Him better.

We want more and more to see His goodness and His beauty. Not vaguely, nor just from time to time. We want to see Him truly, continually, in His work, in those who love Him, in His Word, in himself.

My Father, this moment, let our NEEMA girls push aside all sense of need... every request... each complaint... even words of praise or worship... just to stand in silence... to turn the eyes of their souls to you... to look deep into your wonders...
