Neema sponsor Wayne Wagner on understanding the ‘whys’ behind funding choices

While things are slowly getting back to normal, it's no surprise that Covid shifted how life operates over the past year a half. At Neema, all in-person fundraising events were cancelled. But that allowed us to get creative, and we're now coming up on the anniversary of our very first Rafiki Friday Virtual Fundraising Event. This all virtual event not only allowed us to extend our reach, it also gave our Kenyan staff the opportunity to participate in the fundraising process. And because of the support of our generous donors, it was a huge success, and we've decided to put it on our annual fundraising schedule.

To get us ready for this year's Rafiki Friday (But on a Saturday) Event on November 13th, we wanted to share an article we wrote that was published on Alliance Magazine's blog. In it, we interviewed our title sponsor from last year's Rafiki Friday event, Wayne Wagner, and talked to him about the "why" of his philanthropy.
